All of a sudden you hear a loud PING on your haul. The other ships try to maneuver to avoid the other torpedoes but its too little too late, WHAM, WHAM, WHAM the other torpedos hit the other ships.

Seconds later you hear the other ships throwing their engines into full speed as they realize whats going on. Once youre in position you open your tube doors then fire off a volley of torpedoes at multiple targets then watch the wake of bubbles behind them making their way towards each ship then WHAM a big ball of fire and water engulfs the first ship. You watch it for a while then you slowly and silently work your way into the middle of it while avoiding the escorts. Its a real rush setting up to attack a convoy. As the war progresses you get renown for sinking tonnage and can buy new ships and ship upgrades You manage your crew and they get better over time, you can give them medals and promotions. The graphics are pretty nice and the special effects are very well done. Its real easy to spend an hour setting up for an attack run on a target, even more if you attack a convoy. The only negative I can think of is that each mission can take about 4-5 hours so you need a bit of time (you can save and stop in the middle of a mission if you have to though). Id recommend it to anyone that likes Sims or is looking for something a bit different. Once you get a hang of things it gets really fun and the learning curve isn't too steep.Īnyway just thought Id give my thoughts on the game, its a lot better than what I expected. I picked this up last Friday because I needed something new and nothing else was out that really caught my attention so I figured Id give it a try, I kinda like simulators but I wasn't too sure about a sub one.Īll I can say is wow, Im really impressed with it, ended up playing it the whole weekend (I didn't want to, I had other stuff to do).
